Donate to Voice of Witness

Voice of Witness is a registered tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. As a small nonprofit run mostly by volunteers and with low overheads, your donation goes directly towards bringing stories of injustice to light.

Send a birthday gift. A donation to Voice of Witness makes a great gift for friends, family, and coworkers. To donate in someone else’s name, just leave a note through PayPal or send a follow-up email to letters@voiceofwitness.com. We’ll send a letter letting them know that you’ve supported Voice of Witness in their name.

We are currently raising funds to complete our books on Burma and Zimbabwe for 2010. We are also seeking support for two new book projects: Women in Prison and High Rise Stories: Chicago Public Housing.

You can also mail your check contribution, payable to Voice of Witness, to:

Voice of Witness 849 Valencia St. San Francisco, CA 94110

Right now, we need your help to make these projects a reality and provide a platform for these unheard voices. Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a real difference:

$25 will help an interviewer travel to her narrator and cover basic stationery supplies.
$50 pays for an interviewer’s transportation and meals for two days.
$100
pays for a translator or transcriber for three interviews.
$500
pays for a two-week national research/interview trip for two interviewers.
$1,000 will buy supplies for an entire project team (notebooks, disks, recorders, books).

Thank you for your support!
